My Students

Do you remember sitting on hard uncomfortable chairs trying to be a productive learner? My students wiggle and squirm and find it difficult to stay on task.

My students are sixth and seventh graders in a military, college prep public charter school.

Our students' focus is driven by education development and community service. My classes are filled with energetic and actively involved students that, at times, need to release some energy without being disruptive to classroom procedures.

My Project

Building a strong engaged student is necessary for life-long learning. Research is showing that sitting on an exercise therapy ball enhances focus, strengthens body core, and improves posture. A strong body enables one to become a productive learner. Students will understand the important correlation between inner core strength and being an active learner.

Students find fewer reasons to be out of their seats disrupting others when sitting on an exercise therapy ball.

They are able to stay focused for longer periods of time and strengthen their bodies at the same time. Self control will be a necessary skill practiced in maintaining proper use of the ball. One exercise ball holds many life lessons.
