Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my second year teaching and I couldn't have asked for a more manageable, eager to learn group of 6 and 7 year old's. I work in a Title 1 school in Phoenix, AZ. Many of the children come low socioeconomic status. The majority of my class demographic is Hispanic, so they are learning two languages.
My students are great learners and I love how they continue to try even when things may get tough.
This group is an energetic bunch that love to learn through motion. I can't wait to see how they continue to grow the rest of the year!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my classroom because the children will be able to focus better than with just a chair. By having these materials, wiggle chairs, bouncy bands, and seat cushion, will help the children in my class make smarter choices.
My class is a very energetic group and struggle sitting still in their chair.
They often make unsafe choices because they can't help it. They will use these materials instead of a chair or on their chair. These chairs & materials will be used with specific students in my class that I know will benefit from them.
