This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a unique, diverse, and multi-talented set of leaders. We speak different languages and come from places all over the world. We are a Title I school located in a small rural community. We recently received damage from Hurricane Irma to our school campus and are rebuilding.

My students have a knack for project-based learning, hands-on projects, coding, and programming.

Providing unique opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) education is vital for 21st century learning. coding, making, and connecting are pillars of our learning environment.

My Project

Students use drones for multiple purposes. Learning about aviation and flight is just the beginning! Students will also be responsible for maintenance and repairs of the drone. Students will also incorporate the drone into their creative and multimedia projects! All of these elements will allow the students to develop skills that are practical and projected as necessary for NGSS careers.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Arts) scholars will develop new and innovative thinking, learning, and career skills through unique learning experiences such as this project!

Our scholars rely on cutting-edge hardware to make their "drone dreams" a reality! While we have a great bounty of the skills, these critical components cannot be realized with your help!
