My Students

I teach at a school of only 5th and 6th graders. These boys and girls all come from different backgrounds and life experiences, yet they are all stepping into our school with one thing in common - it's their first time in "middle school".

My students are experiencing middle school for the first time, and I want them to experience it to the fullest!

5th graders are at the best stage of life; they still have a youthful innocence, yet they are starting to see our great big world through the eyes of a grown up. This is my first year teaching, so I have yet to meet my students. I can't wait to see what they can do!

My Project

Anchor charts are an effective, research based way of teaching students, and they are personally one of my favorite teaching methods! They also double as classroom decorations, so it's a win-win!

In order to make durable, bright, and effective anchor charts, I need chart paper to stick on the board and markers that will help me write large enough for the words to be seen from across the room.

I love to use anchor charts for decorations, classroom management, collaboration, and anything else I can think of to enhance my students' learning. Students enjoy them because the information is condensed into one easy to see poster.
