The students in my classroom are a group of highly diverse learners with different and unique backgrounds, interests and learning styles. They thrive when their individual talents are recognized.
My students are highly energetic and motivated through movement.
They become engaged in projects, hands-on activities, and physical activity.
More than anything else, these students want to please you. They love helping, leading, and volunteering in the classroom. They love being trusted to help out and feel important when they do.
Spring is upon us and it’s time for the birds, bees, and butterflies! Each year my students learn about the life cycle of the butterfly. Rather than simply using text to teach my students, I would like to bring the butterflies to them.
Butterflies will literally come to life for my students with this butterfly kit!
Students will see how butterflies begin as tiny caterpillars. Each day they will grow bigger until the day they are ready to form a chrysalisis. Students will observe and await the day the beautiful butterflies hatch out.
Students will always remember the day they release their very own butterflies!
