Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a wonderful school with a terrific team of teachers and staff. I am blessed to be working at a school with so much support. My classroom is home to 40 very eager and enthusiastic preschoolers. The majority of my students are low-income, bilingual learners. My students are my inspiration and they challenge me to open my mind every day. I owe it to them to provide them with nothing but the best. I hope to always be able to provide them with materials that will help inspire their hearts and minds.
My Project
Bringing life science into the classroom is so important to make the learning more real and to allow for students to become more engaged.
My preschool students absolutely love seeing science happen in our classroom.
With your donation, my students will receive butterfly kits and books about butterflies. This will make the life cycle of a butterfly come to life in our room. They will be able to witness one of the most amazing transformations happen before their very own eyes.
My students will get to see an egg turn into a caterpillar, then to a chrysalis, and finally into a beautiful butterfly. After a few days, we'll say goodbye to the butterflies and set them free.
