This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are full of excitement for learning! They love to learn through movement, songs, exploration, and hands-on experiments and materials. Students in my class are valued, and we promote a learning environment where students learn to value each other.

Many of my students are English language learners and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

However, this is not an obstacle to success in our classroom. We build a classroom community where all students can learn, succeed, and celebrate each others' strengths.

My Project

My students and I have been having class online since August due to the high Covid-19 numbers in our area. My students learn best with visuals and interactive activities. This kit includes great visual resources that will keep them engaged in their learning, especially while learning at home.

This hand2mind daily Math fluency kit will help give them meaningful practice with their math skills to build a strong number sense, conceptual math skills and fluency.

These are important skills that they will use throughout their school career as well as their lives.
