Help me give my students the flexibility to choose their own learning spot in the classroom. My students prefer to sit on the carpet so this gives them two additional choices for where to sit in the classroom.
As a teacher at a magnet school, my students have diverse backgrounds. Students come from urban areas, suburban areas, and even some rural areas! We have them all working together and learning from each other.
Although my students come from various nationalities they all come to school to learn and grow.
My job as their teachers is to provide them with a safe place for them to learn and grow during their year with me. During the year, we become a family.
My Project
My students already have the choices for their learning work station during the day in first grade. These chairs and lap desks will give my students more choices for where to sit when they are learning.
My students love sitting on the floor and I am always looking for more choices for them to sit on the floor.
The lap desk would be great for the students to be able to sit on the floor and still have a hard flat surface for their writing. The floor chairs would allow the students to either use at our low table or to use on the carpet with a clipboard. My students will love having new choices of where to find their perfect learning spot!
