My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with daily challenges in and outside of the classroom every day. It is my job to provide my students with the highest quality education and give them meaningful experiences and support. I want them to feel safe in my classroom and continue to love learning.

My students are positive, creative, and life long readers who are always excited to learn.

They love working with one another in small groups. The moment they walk in my door, I want them to feel as comfortable as possible. My focus is to get all my students to become positive, life long learners. I am hoping to inspire all of them.

My Project

My students and I will greatly appreciate another safe space for the classroom. Right now, we have one additional table that the teacher works with students. When another teacher pushes in, they are working on the floor, and when students move around the room, they move desks together making a mess.

An additional table will allow my students to sit comfortably while working in small groups around the room.

It can also be used as a safe, calming space for students who need a quiet place in the room to take a break away from the rest of the class when needed. The mesh storage container will allow me to organize all the additional papers I have in the room for the students.
