My Students

I teach in a Title I school. Many are on free or reduced-price lunch plans and face many challenges at home. Despite their challenges and possibly not getting help from home, they come to school happy and ready to learn. I hope to do all I can during the time they are in my life. I need to do all I can to instill the importance of education in their young minds. A good and positive attitude about school starts early. Thank you!

My Project

I am moving rooms! My new room does not have any rugs or carpet and needs some help becoming cozy. A new rug will help with the look and feel of this new room. We will be meeting together on the rug to read and discuss books and the students would love a comfortable space. Giving the students choices as to where they want to sit gives them some ownership into their learning. Students love choices, and I like the fact we can choose to learn away from our desks at times. We love lying on the floor and choosing books!
