My Students

Glenfield Middle School consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are all looking to improve their physical fitness on all different levels. During our Physical Education classes we try to introduce a variety of ways for students to be physical fit for life.

Our students come to class each and every day highly motivated to learn new skills that they can take with them and use throughout the rest of their lives.

The students are always looking for new activities to learn and increase their fitness levels through challenging ways.

Middle school age students are at a crucial time in their lives where, as teachers, we can make a major impact on their physical fitness. Our students are more than willing to try new activities and if we can show more ways for them to be physically fit then we will have done our job.

My Project

All of our students will benefit from this unit as we look to enhance our Physical Education classes. Our equipment in Physical Education is very limited and these floor hockey activities will catch our students interests. Floor hockey skill stations will improve our students fitness levels. Breaking up into teams will build team camaraderie in all of our classes. Our students are looking to learn new skills and activities that they have not been exposed to before.

Floor hockey will have all of our students engaged in a new activity while improving their physical fitness levels.

This team sport can improve students ability to work with other students, hand eye coordination, sportsmanship, and cardiovascular endurance.
