My Students

My students love to be challenged and are very hands-on with their learning. The majority of my students come from low-income homes, and all attend our public high school to receive a free quality education. Our school is the only all International Baccalaureate high school in the state, and we pride ourselves on providing a highly rigorous curriculum, despite little funding as a public high school.

Students love to move and participate in class.

Your help can get everyone up and move with enough equipment for everyone.

My Project

Students will have the opportunity to play floor hockey in a Physical Education setting. Students have not had exposure to floor hockey in the past. They will be exposed to a sport that they might learn to enjoy through this experience. They could also develop a passion for watching the game as well.

Students will learn the rules and strategies for the game.

This will give them an appreciation for the game when watching it.

Students will learn about teamwork and sportsmanship through floor hockey. It will also be a strenuous activity that will get them moving while still having fun. Students will be able to find the enjoyment of movement through this sport.
