My Students

I am the proud physical education teacher of about 330 wonderful middle school students. Many of my students come from families with a limited financial resources, and with limited access to sports beyond physical education class. These are wonderfully diverse movers who are hungry for more opportunities to learn new sports. They are passionate about team sports and the wonderful opportunities they provide for physical fitness, stress relief, team work, as well as the communication skills needed to succeed in them.

My Project

With this project my students will have the ability to learn a new team sport. One that they could’ve never accessed or played before. Help me keep these wonderful active learners engaged in something that they can develop a lifelong passion for. This hockey equipment will help make a difference in my students learning, by allowing me to teach them the basic skills needed to play floor hockey safely, while continuing to improve their physical fitness through this team sport. They will learn the fundamentals of the game, as well as how to apply them in a game like setting.
