My Students

Lively. Sweet. Eager. These are a few ways to describe my students. Every day, they face the many challenges that come from living in a high poverty area, yet every day they smile ear to ear and make me want to give them the best possible educational experience.

Our fourth grade class is creative, musical, and hands-on.

They learn best through musical videos, technology, and explorative learning. I have seen their creative minds come alive as they get the chance to engage in these experiences.

My Project

Memorable lyrics and fun beats help my students remember the vocabulary words and reading skills they learn about, and have fun while they do! Using Flocabulary videos instantly increases engagement and is like a little break while still packing in the learning. Students sing along, dance, and use the lyrics later as they apply the lesson.

At the end of each video, students always ask, "Play it again!

Please play it again!" One of the ways we use Flocbaulary in the classroom is vocabulary. Prior to using Flocabulary, students did not make many connections with vocabulary words months after we learned them. But now, with Flocabulary, students frequently remember words from the very beginning of the year and connect them to what we are currently learning.

Overall, the lyrics and beats are very catchy and create a memorable experience. Flocabulary infuses an energy into our day that we all love and benefit from.
