Mrs. Webb from Conyers GA is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students Flocabulary so that they can continue to learn valuable Math and Science skills using the online platform.

My classroom was affected by the coronavirus as of March 13th. We were told we would do distance learning for two weeks for safety reasons. Then the governor extended it to March 31st. With spring break being the following week, our superintendent decided to allow schools to remain closed until after spring break. The governor then decided during our spring break to extend the school closing until April 24th. Then eventually the governor closed all schools in the state for the remainder of the school year.
With all that has transpired, my students are still learning, but a tad bit differently.
They are learning virtually from home. We teach live lessons to them four days a week. Luckily my county provided students with devices from the first day of school. Therefore we are able to continue instruction online. However, it’s challenging at times because it was all so unexpected and we are learning new technology daily to better educate our students.
Flocabulary will be integrated into my daily math and science lesson plans. This distance learning resource will be used to introduce new standards, concepts, and to provide reinforcement. This program is set up to help my students relate to a new standard in a nonthreatening, easy to understand format.
The item I have requested will give students an opportunity to master math and science standards through music.
It will allow them to work at their own pace and to interact with classmates in group activities and discussions. They will learn about math and science vocabulary and challenging topics thru fun and thoughtful engagement. With this program, I will be able to differentiate assignments and easily accommodate my students who have additional learning struggles.
