My Students

How can I help every student succeed? This question often crosses my mind as I think about my class and the diversity that it is filled with. It is so exciting to work with such an eclectic group of individuals as we get to delve a little into each other's worlds and share a little piece of our lives together.

My students are 3rd graders, trying to find their voice to build a better future, while maintaining their individuality.

We are a Title I school with a large population of English Language Learners. They are inspired by exploring the world around them and how they fit in it, as well as how they fit together.

My Project

Flocabulary allows students to connect to topics in all areas of curriculum. Students are able to work with the site independently, in small groups, and in whole group. The videos are incredibly engaging for the students. The students enjoy singing along and want to watch them again and again which helps students comprehend complex topics.

Donations to this project would improve my classroom instruction because it would provide my students with another opportunity to interact and engage with their learning.

The students are more comfortable with the digital format and enjoy the musical nature of the videos. It is an awesome resource that engages students, addresses complex topics, and allows students to interact in diverse environments.
