My Students

I work in a Title I school where 70% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Several of them come to school ready to just be loved and shown that you care for them. They will work so hard just for attention and talk time.

I strive to make my class feel more like a family and help them learn to come together as a team.

It is so rewarding to watch how excited they get when they are able to help one of their brothers or sisters through one of their problems.

My Project

This project is for Flocabulary logins for myself and my teammates. This will actually end up benefitting 66 students total. Last year I used Flocabulary and my students loved it. They really enjoyed having catchy songs that helped introduce and reinforce concepts being taught.

We were able to look through the picture vocabulary cards to explain each of the vocabulary words in the song.

We would then read through the different scenarios and discuss the correct answers. I loved watching Flocabulary as much as my students did and used it for Math, ELAR, Science, and Social Studies. I am excited to be able to use it again this year and also share it with my team members.
