Help me give my students tools to use to make financial literacy and history engaging. Flocabulary will help students learn difficult topics while the Apple Pencil will help them navigate the iPad.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students are primarily from the surrounding Northeast Los Angeles region. Our students are active, enthusiastic learners who use their unique talents and intelligence to empower themselves and others. Students acknowledge global responsibility and make a positive impact. Our student body is made up primarily of 94.1% Hispanic or Latino, with a school-wide socioeconomic disadvantage of 86.3%. They are a great group in that they are critical thinkers driven by positivity. They help each other and know how to become active members of their community.
We are a college-preparatory school and most of our students will be first-generation college students, but they need the resources to get them there.
My Project
My students will be using the financial literacy/life skills part of Flobaulary to learn important life skills before heading to college. We will be teaching these in a College Prep class that they will have during all four years of high school.
Only 16% of low income students graduate college and my students will be different.
Part of that will be thanks to innovative ways of teaching financial literacy and life skills, and Flocabulary offers that to students and teachers! We cannot keep doing the same things and expecting different results. We must change the way we teach low income students so they do not fall into the same cycle of poverty.
