My students are 7th and 8th graders at a rural county school. My students typically enjoy coming to my class because my way of teaching gets them to enjoy learning. I teach my students a lot like a coach. In order for students to be successful, we have to instill values in our students.
For the most part, students gain more than just knowledge in my classroom.
Our school is located in a rural Alabama town. 50% or more of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Students begin to foster a sense of learning and collaborative learning. I teach history, but students gain so much more in my classroom.
My Project
21st century students need to be engaged throughout the day. Flocabulary will engage my students by bringing music into the classroom and helping them to learn through lyrical rhymes. I will use Flocabulary to introduce topics to my students.
Students love to listen to music, and integrating music into their lessons helps them to gain understanding about the standards and topics.
Being able to differentiate is imperative in the 21st century classroom. Flocabulary allows that differentiation to occur. Flocabulary also contains handouts and standards alignment that help me lesson plan for the lessons. Students can also use comprehension skills to increase reading comprehension.
