My Students

My students come from a large neighborhood community about twenty miles north of a major city. My students are excited about learning and they learn best with hands-on materials. My students are very curious and are always asking questions about things they are interested in learning. My students deserve to have every opportunity possible in order to pursue their dreams. My students learn best when materials are interesting and engaging that keeps them focused on the tasks at hand. I want to provide my wonderful students with anything that will help them with their education.

My Project

The kindergarten students are going to begin a unit on animals. I would like to have the caterpillars to give the students a true hands on experience.

The students would watch and help take care of the caterpillars from day one.

Each group of students would have their own butterfly enclosure.

They will be able to observe how the caterpillars change over time. We will be able to release the butterflies in the school garden. Students will be able to tend to their butterflies and see them when we visit the garden.

These materials are necessary to enhance our students' hands-on experience in science.
