My Students
My students are eager to learn science through the use of technology. We need a 21st Century learning environment, so all kids can learn and no child will be left behind. Our school has no sports, and is focused on academics and the arts. We are a school where access to technology is almost non-existent. Our students are dedicated and eager to learn. Our students need to be prepared for the future. As a science teacher, I need technology every day to assist me in reaching every child, so that I can make science fun and engaging.
My Project
My students do not have daily access to technology and these tablets will give them opportunities to be successful in their college or career choices, as well as, in life. This allows me to maximize class time and work individually with students who need extra time while still allowing others to move forward, at their own pace. Programs such as Quia, Discovery Education, Virtual Science Labs, and more, will be used to assist students in their learning. My students will be able to watch videos online over and over pausing when necessary to be able to take notes. They will be able to watch virtual labs in order to master a concept. Students will be able to access Google classroom, Weebly, and all the resources I post weekly to aid them in their learning. My project will prepare students for college and career. It will allow them to gain the knowledge needed to be successful in life not only with science skills, but how to successfully use technology.
