This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

School is boring? That's what my students think! I want to show them that learning can be fun, interesting and exciting!

My students are the typical small town, Midwest children.

They think our nearby town of 26,000 is the big city! They have lived most of their lives with little diversity but lots of farming! They have attended a K-12 school with the same group of peers for most of their lives. They are well-behaved and respectful. They want to find out more about the world and the differences and similarities between them and the rest of the world

My Project

The flip camera will allow my students to use technology to make learning another language much more interesting! We will use it to create videos, commercials and skits. When we find a class to email, we plan to show them our school and hopefully see a video of their school so that these small town kids can see what the Spanish-speaking world is like!

This project will impact my students greatly!

I have 110 students that have had little exposure to the rest of the world. They would be so excited about learning if they were able to do so with by means other than paper and pencil work or me talking to them!
