Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
No more sitting in desks, listening to lectures. In our room, students are engaged and creative, implementing 21st century skills to learn history. These diverse students learn and demonstrate their skills through inquiry and flipped classroom learning. Student-centered learning is at the core.
My students come from diverse backgrounds.
They are inquisitive, creative, and challenge one another. They are 9th and 10th graders, their ages range from 13-16. Our high school is a 9th-12th grade school that offers a variety of courses in a engaging manner.
My Project
I am asking for five Panasonic Stereo Headphones, five Skullcandy On-Ear Headphones, and a Polaroid Cube Camera so that my students can improve their technological skills and create flipped videos.
My students will use the cube camera to demonstrate their learning. They will create videos, commercials, TV skits, trailers, etc. These will be shared with fellow classmates and the school community. By using the camera and headphones, my students will record and edit using these resources.
My students will be able to film and devise diverse multi-media productions to demonstrate their learning of classroom curriculum.
