My students need an Apple iPad mini 32 GB, one Apple TV receiver, one protection case for iPad, and one 15 foot HDMI cable to to use iPad during class instruction.

My 6th grade students attend a Title 1 public elementary school in Arizona.
I have 30 students, 7 of which qualify for special education services due to a variety of learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and autism. I have two instructional aides who come in to work with all 7 students. One aide assists for reading and language, and the other assists for math. My students face the challenge of not receiving more "one on one" instructional guidance due to an increase in class size. I feel each one of my students is gifted in their own unique way. They offer great contributions to my classroom through insightful discussion. I try to provide hands-on opportunities in my lessons to engage students, but I want them getting active in their own education outside of the classroom. They all have unlimited potential and I feel that technology can assist my students in reaching their true potential as successful students and eventually adults.
My Project
I am requesting my classroom receives an iPad as well as Apple TV access. Having an iPad in my classroom would provide my students with a wide variety of experiences that would allow them to utilize this technology first hand in my classroom and at home.
I am looking to use the iPad in classroom guided discussion, such as Language, Reading, and Math. Through the Educreation App, I will be able to record my voice and classroom notes and instruction that I can later post on Edmodo for a tutorial of steps to solving problems. My students will also be allowed to create instructional videos on how they solved a problem and arrived at the answer. This will help students with different levels of understanding help tutor each other through the press of a button. These instructional videos will also allow students who are absent to view the instructional content that they would have otherwise missed. The iPad and Apple TV will help me create more opportunities for my students outside of class.
