My students need 1 Pure Digital FLIP Mino Camcorder.

Who loves ecstatic, fun-loving, energetic kindergarten students? ME! I feel like the luckiest teacher of 17 young learners, 4 of which are students with Autism. My students come from low socioeconomic homes with little educational background before stepping in to my classroom. This doesn't stop them though. They are always ready to "FLIP" when it comes to learning!
Most students with Autism are visual learners, especially when they are so young. Positive peer modeling has helped my students make better choices and be more successful in all areas of school. Recently I had the opportunity to use a FLIP video camcorder to record two of my students making good choices in the hallway. Once I played back the video, they were so excited to see themselves making the right choice!
If I was given the opportunity to have a FLIP video camcorder in my classroom, I would be able to provide positive modeling for my students struggling with appropriate behaviors. This would not only be used for behavior, but also during writing and reading. This is such a kid-friendly device I am confident my students will be able to take learning in to their own hands and record each other. We would really 'FLIP' if we had this technology tool at our disposal.
Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability in America. One in every 150 children have Autism. 1.5 million Americans live with Autism. Are you listening? It is more important now than ever to get involved and help these children become successful and active members in our communities. They need to begin learning acceptable behaviors NOW! We will "FLIP" if you help us!
