Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so excited to be starting a new grade level this year! 3rd grade! I am up for the challenge as I finish my last year in graduate school. This year I would love to provide my students with a fun and creative learning environment where they are free to share their ideas.
My students are bright and beautiful with active minds!
My campus is a Title 1 campus many of our students are considered at risk or low socioeconomic. Whatever the circumstances they are leaders and full of potential.
My Project
My classroom is a place of stability and sense of home for many of my students. These additions to my classroom will make my students' learning environment active and fun. It will also give students responsibility to take care of these items and work in their small groups.
I would like to provide this type of environment using flexible seating.
The 4 stability balls, 4 wobble cushions, 2 comfy floor seats and 2 large comfy pillows will be used for flexible seating. These items give students the opportunity for students to be actively engaged.
The additions will also be used in our classroom library where students can relax and read their favorite books. I hope these items will make learning fun and engaging for all of my students.I want to help them reach their potential by making learning engaging and active through flexible seating.
Why flexible seating?
Learning environments can have a direct impact on student achievement. Flexible seating creates a sense of community allowing students to work collaboratively in small groups.
