Help me give my students flexible seating options. As a special education teacher, my students have a variety of needs. Flexible seating helps to support students' unique needs. Flexible seating allows students to find a spot for them.

My Students

I am a middle school special education teach 6th, 7th and 8th in a small Northeast/Midwest community.

The students in my classroom have a wide range of abilities and needs.

My students are learning not only academic skills but life skills as well within my classroom setting.

My Project

I'd like to make my classroom a more inviting room that allows students to find a spot that fits their needs.

My students have a variety of needs and flexible seating will provide students options to find a spot that works for them.

Right now I have whiteboard tables but nothing that allows flexibility to meet their needs. By providing wobble chairs, ball chairs, beans bags and standing tables, my students will be able to move around and work in spots that fit their needs. It will take teaching to help students learn what is the best for them, but I am excited to use this project to help them learn.
