My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and abstract thinkers. They tend to work, think, learn and play “outside the box.” Having an extensive classroom library area that exposes them to all genres of literature will continue their independent research and interest in reading as the school year progresses. Having flexible seating options within the classroom also allows their minds to flourish while learning in ways that accommodate their varied learning styles. My students would certainly be most very appreciative of these additional resources to our classroom library.

My Project

The addition of the saucer chairs to our classroom library will increase student usage and flexible seating options in our classroom. Creating a comfortable atmosphere for middle school students allows them choice and a level of making the classroom feel inviting and interesting.

The novel Wishtree by Katherine Applegate and Aesop's Fables will be welcome additions to our library that promotes student interest and continual use throughout the school year.

Keeping our library stocked with current, classic, and high interest books is as important as keeping it inviting, cozy and comfortable for all middle level learners in the middle school atmosphere.
