In the fall I will be looping with my (now) 4th graders into 5th grade! They are a group of curious, passionate, and insightful students that are always, always, always asking questions.
In this classroom community they have shared a common interest in current events and discovering the world around them.
These incredibly inquisitive, compassionate, and creative students are the future! It is a joy to see how they approach the world each day with diverse backgrounds and interests.
My Project
My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do too! They need more flexible/comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning.
This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day.
Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable. These seating tools will greatly increase their attention span and ease their frustrations. I want them to feel comfortable and at home in our classroom. I cannot wait to see all of the things we can do with flexible seating!
