Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach ELA and social studies at an elementary school!

I want my students to LOVE coming to school each and every day!

My goal is to have a classroom full of flexible seating options! Since I have started teaching, I have observed students wanting to be out of their traditional desks. By offering flexible seating, students will be able to get out of those desks and into more comfortable seats. My students are fun, loving, and so ready to learn! I want to give them the best learning environment that I possibly can!

My Project

These seats will give my students more options when it comes to seating arrangements. It will also help students move around more when they get a little antsy! A wobble stool or bounce chair allows a child who may have some extra energy the ability to move around, while still learning. The large pillow allows a student to be comfortable while independently reading or writing in our large library area! I just know that my students will love the new seating! This project would almost get me halfway to my final goal of flexible seating for every student, every day!
