This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from CT. They are part of a program that serves children who need intensive instruction. My classroom is a self-contained special education classroom with opportunities for integration in nearby rooms. My energetic preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.

They enjoy sensory activities, music, and play throughout the day.

My students require small groups or 1:1 instruction to learn. The students enjoy moving around the classroom and engaging with materials. They love to learn!

My Project

This project will give my students flexible seating. The wobble seat can be used at a table or at the rug for students who need movements.

The active spots can help mark where students should sit, and also be used for active games such as a walking path or jumping.

The bright colors will help students to learn colors and the shapes will help them learn to identify sheets.

They will be excited for these seating and active play options these materials will provide. Thank you so much, much appreciated!
