My Students

They are growing and learning within our collaborative school community. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They want to take chances, explore their world, try new things, and learn. They are learning how to be an independent student while also learning to how work together as a team.

Our first grade is comprised of over 100 eager students who want to explore and learn in their own unique ways.

Our school is an open concept school that allows us to be innovative in how we use our space, move around, and find what is best for individuals learning.

My Project

In my classroom I want to give my students choice. What is an easier choice than allowing them to pick where they sit and work. They have a few choices of different seating, however, these desk chairs will be a great addition. In these chairs students can swivel and twist. They will be comfortable and therefore be able to focus on their work. I think they will be the new favorite seat in the classroom. These are also movable to different areas of the room allowing for even more flexibility. I believe in giving students choice in their learning, these chairs will give them another option to choose from.
