Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an amazing group of second graders this year! I'm proud to be a teacher to a very diverse group and it is my privilege to get to see them grow every year. I have a variety of students who come from different socio-economic background. I learn from them and grow as a professional to mold myself into the best teacher for my students. The students I work with come from low income homes and often tells me they are either hungry or tired. There are many things I can do but I many of them I cannot do it alone. I need all the help I can get to make sure my students get the best education possible. Thank you so much for your time.
My Project
Everyone has a different way of learning and I believe that also goes with how comfortable you are during lessons. In college, I often found myself distracted by how uncomfortable the seats were in class and how I wished there were other choices to pick from. I believe that with flexible seatings in the Elementary classroom, it not only boost student engagement but also learning opportunities that would've been deprived by those wretched, hard, traditional desks. Although the traditional seatings may work for some students, I can confidently say that flexible seating is an open door for students to a vast field of engagement and learning opportunities.
