Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class is full of students who have the most amazing imaginations! My students love to create anything and everything they can. They are so thoughtful and are always ready to help anyone who needs it. Teaching in the inner city, most of my students are coming from low-income households. I strive to have a classroom where my students see it as a positive and nurturing safe space. When my students come to school, I want my students to be provided with the best resources.

My students deserve to come to a classroom filled with the necessary resources to teach them effectively.

I want to continue to foster their love of learning!

I have a wonderful group of kids, and I want to make sure that all of their academic, emotional, and physical needs are being met.

My Project

These wobbly stools will really help my students take control of their learning. During small group time, independent time, or even whole group time my students will have the option to get a wobbly stool if they feel like they need to move.

This will provide a more comfortable flexible seating option for my students.

Providing an extra choice of where they feel most comfortable working helps them learn how to make positive decisions regarding their learning.

Wobbly stools will provide excitement and motivation for learning! Some days my students need a little extra motivation and this will help give that to them.
