At our school we are more than 50% free and reduced lunch and I work with students who struggle and need more support. When I work with them in a smaller group they are more successful. They do well when there are hands-on tasks and when we can apply things to real life.
My students are unique and different in their own individual way and I like to celebrate what makes each one of them special.
I'm very lucky that I get to work with these students everyday. They brighten my day more than they know.
My Project
I would love to give my students different seating options in my classroom. It's nice to have different options that students can pick where everything isn't the same. I am asking for two high top tables so that students can stand and work if they choose. I am also asking for four taller comfortable chairs that students can choose to sit in that fit up to the high tables. Under the two tables I will have a round area rug to make the room look more inviting and welcoming.
When students have the option to pick flexible seating they often choose to get more work done.
I love having different options available for students to choose. They can pick to work by themselves or to work on their own. Please consider my project to give the best seating options to students.
