My classroom is made up of 24 adorable and curious 1st graders. They have a love to learn and are excited to come to school each day. They are full on energy and enjoy activities that allow them a lot of interactions.
We have a unique make up of high achieving students to those with special needs.
Meeting all the needs of all my students is very important in their learning process. My classroom environment allows students to work in a way that they get the most of out what is being taught.
My Project
Flexible Seating: It is important in my class to be able to reach all students and meet their needs. This year I have students with special needs that are more active during the learning time. It is harder for them to focus on lessons while seating at the carpet or their desk.
Flexible seating allows students movement as they listen and learn.
Being able to choose how they would like to work whether it be in a flex space balance ball seat or sitting on a floor with flex space comfy floor seat will make it easier for them to focus and take in the information being taught.
My students love having a choice on how they want to work and and feel they are in charge of their learning.
