Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I haven’t met my students for this coming school year yet, but am very excited to welcome them into a warm and inviting classroom with new supplies for them to start the year off right! I will have a group of 21-second​ graders for half of the day and a group of 21 first and second graders combined for the other half of the day. My students and I are in a Title 1 school in Texas. Thanks for your consideration!

My Project

Many of my students have a difficult time staying focused on​ typical school seats, so I want to offer them Bean bag chairs that set them up for success. I strive to make my classroom as welcoming as possible, and one way of achieving this goal is to have comfortable seating options. I am at a title 1 school and will be teaching two grade levels this year, so I will need all the support I can get when it comes to giving the children choices that are safe and developmentally appropriate. I really appreciate anything you are able to donate to help my students reach their full potential.
