My second graders are excited and ready to learn. Many of my students come from low income households and English is their second language. Our classroom is full of love and adventure and together we work as a community to achieve success.
In order to make learning engaging and fun for my students, I make it my own personal mission to implement their interests into my lessons.
Creating a warm and inviting classroom environment is my ultimate goal in order to help my students feel successful and confident in their educational endeavors.
My Project
In order to make learning more engaging and exciting for students, I plan to implement flexible seating into my classroom routine. I truly believe the benefits behind allowing students to make their own seating choices. Allowing students that power contributes to our classroom community and encourages students to make independent decisions based off their own individual needs.
I know my students will be excited and eager about the new seating options they would have with the addition of these stools and lap trays into our classroom.
Sitting in one seat for too long is hard for many of my students. My hope is that I can accumulate plenty of diverse seating arrangements to meet all my students' needs.
