My Students
My first grade students are inveterate explorers. If there's knowledge to be had, they will find it. As future leaders, I find each student unique and possessing different learning modalities suited to each personality.
Students in our Title one district are the kind of students who thrive in the academic environment.
We have a high ELL population and a great many of our students are qualified for a free or reduced lunch. Despite the challenges of their socioeconomic status, our students are kind, respectful and safe.
My Project
One of the ways modern educators can provide the best possible environment for their classroom is to offer flexible seating for student accommodation. Soft seating, yoga balls, and reading mats are all excellent examples of what flexible seating looks like in the modern classroom. Lakeshore learning store offers many variable options for flexible seating.
My goal this year is to provide the students in my classroom with portable soft seating as an option to sitting at a rigid desk and chair.
The privilege of using the comfy floor seats in the classroom will also promote good behavior and fulfilling rewards to all of my hardworking students.
