Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic and have an endless sense of curiosity for things in the world around them.
They care for each other in a way that is not often seen in our grownup world.
The students come from a variety of family situations and learning abilities, but it doesn't matter to them. Regardless of their backgrounds, my students come together and become a learning and caring community during the year. They are truly shining stars with bright futures ahead!
My Project
Work at tables is part of every Kindergarten classroom. Sometimes it is a learning center, and sometimes it is paper and pencil tasks. Kindergarten children are built to move so sitting can be a difficult task.
With flexible seating, my students can now wiggle while they work!
Students will be able to wiggle and move safely while on these chairs during work time. Movement will reduce the stress of sitting for tasks and will increase my students' attention span. Consequently, they will be able to concentrate for longer periods of time to be able to master the standards required of Kindergarten students.
