Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a wonderful group of fifth graders! They enjoy taking part in building our classroom environment and participating in our classroom community. Together we have discovered a need for a better way to sit when working, flexible seating is the answer!
Our classroom, is comprised of diverse learners representing many cultures.
They love to share where they have been and love to learn about others. We enjoy working and learning from one another and have embraced everyones contribution to our classroom.
My Project
My students have formed our classroom around ways in which they learn the best. They need more flexible seating options to enhance student engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable. Students will be able to move using the Flex-Space Wobble chairs while they work if they choose so. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor seats willl allow for students to get out of the traditional classroom chairs and find a more comfortable place for them to sit. Flexible seating options will give my students the opportunity to choose where best they can perform.
This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day.
I want them to learn in an environment that is conducive to everyones unique learning styles. I cannot wait to watch my students grown this year with flexible seating!
