I teach in a small, rural, agricultural community in Wyoming. My students can often be found outside helping with family farms, hunting, playing sports, and enjoying the wide open spaces. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of energy! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects. They come to school each day ready to try new things and learn something new.
Flexible seating will allow my students the freedom of choosing which seating option matches their learning style.
Because my students are used to being active, sitting in a typical classroom can prove challenging for some kids. Having the opportunity to choose from a variety of seating options will allow them the freedom of safe and comfortable learning.
My Project
The wobble chairs will provide my students the opportunity to move and wiggle during instruction. This will help children to stay engaged, focused, and on-task in a safe manner. Every child in my class will have the opportunity to use the wobble chairs and flex seats each day during whole and small group lessons.

Research has shown that differentiated seating options lead to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.
