Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the best kids a teacher can ask for. They are full of curiosity, courage, and hope. They do not let anything stop them from their goals. They love to learn, and they work very hard.
This year has been a hard year for my students as many of them were impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Some of them are homeless and have left all their belongings behind. Regarding the circumstances, those kids manage to come to class every day with smiles on their faces, willing to do their best.
My Project
Where do you do your best work? Some students work better at their desk, some students work better standing up, some just want to move around and some just want to be comfortable. Students need to be given the option of where they are most comfortable to learn.
The wobble chair is going to help me give my students one more option for flexible seating.
It is sometimes hard to keep students focus specially during our small groups. My kids are full of energy and why not allow them to burn some up while they learn. The wobble chairs will allow them to move while learning. Once they are done with small group they can grab a comfy soft seat for their next activity. Whether it is a small group activity, or reading in the carpet, I want to provide them with a comfy soft seat and not just a hard carpet. After-all, wouldn't you want to be able to sit how you learn best?
