Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have quickly learned that my students are hands-on learners who enjoy kinesthetic learning experiences. I have enjoyed watching as they become critical thinkers through these experiences.
My students thrive when they are able to use their senses to explore the world around them.
My students challenge me to become a better teacher every day. I appreciate their willingness to learn and challenge themselves as well.
My students have grown so much this year. I have loved being a part of their growth and working with them as a team to teach the curriculum and life skills.
My Project
As a third year teacher, I feel that I'm ready to truly step outside of my comfort zone. I am always keeping an eye out for things that will improve my classroom. Flexible seating is something that caught my attention the moment I heard about it. I'm excited to purchase some unconventional seating options for my students.
Flexible seating will give my students the freedom to choose not only their seat but their learning environment for the day.
My hope is that students will feel comfortable in our classroom, we do spend 6+ hours a day here! I want them to feel like they're at home, but ready to learn.
