My students need flexible seating options (cushions, couches, and bean bag chairs), 4 Chromebooks, and 4 headphones to support their technology learning centers throughout the class.

My Students

The 24 first graders in our classroom are smart, creative and curious. Although all of the students have a wide-variety of interests, one remains the same. Their love for learning is contagious! They enjoy exciting centers-based learning activities that allow them to move, explore and engage with the materials.

Our classroom has a focus on technology and learning through interactive centers-based lessons!

With flexible seating options, whiteboard lessons, and iPad App activities our learners are always investigating topics of interest!

My Project

After spending the last few months with our class, it is clear that moving around the room helps to support their learning. Creating an engaging learning environment is important! Having several flexible seating options, such as bean bags and comfy seats, for students will help students to select which options help them to learn best. Also, adding Chromebooks and headphones will provide four more technology centers in our classroom. We currently have three iPad stations.

When students have greater choice with their learning, they will be more engaged!

When students are motivated and excited to learn, anything can happen! These are tools to keep that excitement going all year long!
