My students need yoga balls to replace our ordinary classroom chairs.
This project expired on August 11, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have the best students! Don't all teachers say that! I really do! I teach 7th grade AVID and science and my students work so hard, and try their best each and every day. My AVID students are focused on becoming the best students they can to be college and career ready. My science students are inquisitive and full of wonder. They strive to learn more about the world around them taking in so much!
Middle school is a time for growth and experience.
My students are reaching daily to learn more and grow as a student and an individual. They are really funny too! There is never a day that my students don't make me laugh! They all bring so much joy to my life!
My students have been asking about flexible seating in the classroom. Together, we have been working to transform our classroom! I try to teach my students real-world learning strategies, and most study outside of chairs at home, and will in college as well. Many students in middle school have extra energy they need to expel in order to help them learn. Yoga balls help them expel that energy while sitting and working.
Middle schoolers love choice, and adding the yoga balls to their seating choices, allows them to feel confident and comfortable during their time in my class.
Giving them the opportunity to have a safe and comfortable space during the crazy times of middle school, is one thing I would love to give to my students!
Please help us reach our flexible seating goals! These yoga balls will replace classroom chairs for students who want a different atmosphere while in class.
