My Students

My students are a group of active, inquisitive, cooperative, future workforce in training. They are yearning to work together collaboratively as well as have opportunity to work individually should that be the the best choice at the time.

The school population is very diverse both culturally and economically.

Poverty and privilege abound. The students beg for opportunity to bridge their differences into one amazing community of learners. I want them to have this opportunity. They require the ability to have the best setting for their learning needs.

My Project

My students are new to flexible seating and not sure how to utilize it best while keeping some space that is their own. I need the kids to have the best experience while maintaining their comfort with the new surroundings. I am excited for the children to figure out what works best for their personal needs.

Lap desks and carrels will allow the kids to sit in the place that works best for them while maintaining their own space and work not shared.

Lap desks and carrels are a quick, easy way for students to assure that their work is their own and not easily given to neighbors.
