Help me give my students flexible seating such as bean bag chairs and stools make learning fun!
All of my students regularly reflect about their behavior and effort in the classroom, some students have specific behavior intervention plans. They all benefit from challenging, supportive and nurturing environments.
The students who are served in the resource room have been identified as having specific learning challenges; they exhibit deficits that require academic and emotional support, in a calm and stable environment.
My students are learning self management strategies during Social-Emotional Learning; they practice self-soothing and clear communication skills in homeroom every day.
I want our classroom to be a place where students can comfortably acquire literacy skills; also, to create an environment where students discover their most comfortable learning style. Making flexible seating available will encourage students to generalize the idea that reading can be a comfortable activity, especially for students with learning challenges.
Lets make reading fun again!
Giving students a chance to collaborate in a comfortable setting will inspire students in a unique and inviting environment. The seating can also be used to help create and maintain positive behavior systems in the classroom, by setting goals and parameters and offering choices.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
