Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are bright, overflowing with potential, and deserving of a high-quality education! Despite all the problems they have back home, they are excited and willing to learn. They come day after day looking to learn something that will potentially aid them in their journey for a better tomorrow. I work in a Title I school whose student body is predominantly composed African American students who come from low-income families. Day after day, I stare at their faces and try to educate and instill values to ensure that our future is in good hands because they are genuinely good people. These students inspire me to be the best teacher I can be! Help my students get comfortable chairs while they are completing online assignments. The design of the classroom in the 21st century is changing quickly and with the demand for incorporating technology into our classroom it means we spend a good portion of our time in front of a computer sitting in a chair that has been around for a very long time.
