The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our classroom door! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and independent work time. The bouncy seat, sofa couch, saucer chairs, and reading pillows will be used throughout lessons and independent work time to increase attention and learning. The headphones are used for iPad electronic time to access our reading and math individualized lesson path. Many of these have become broken and no longer work, making it difficult for students to listen to audiobooks and personalized lessons without distracting classmates.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' focus and attention, allowing for a more authentic and meaningful teaching and learning environment.
By implementing the flexible seating, my students will begin to see themselves as confident in their learning by getting the tools they need to help focus and meet their physical learning needs. We will use these materials to aid us in our everyday learning. As the teacher, I have done extensive research on flexible seating in the classroom and the benefits it has. Still, I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thank you!
